The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has urged Nigeria’s security leadership to take decisive action against terrorists and their supporters within a 90-day timeframe, as insecurity continues to worsen across the country.

In a video shared via the church’s official X account on Tuesday, Adeboye appealed to the Federal Government to respond urgently to rising cases of attacks, kidnappings, and killings in several regions.
He suggested that security chiefs should either eliminate terrorist groups within three months or step down from their positions if they fail to deliver results.
Adeboye stressed that religious leaders can only offer guidance while the responsibility for national security rests with the government and the commander-in-chief.

He recalled advising former President Muhammadu Buhari, who once issued a similar directive to security chiefs during efforts to combat Boko Haram, although the timeline was not ultimately met.
The cleric also referenced past government directives instructing security agencies to intensify operations against bandits and kidnappers, noting that such orders were not fully achieved within set deadlines.

He further stated that any renewed directive should not only target armed groups but also extend to those who finance and support them, regardless of their influence or status.
His comments come amid a fresh wave of insecurity in the country, marked by recent kidnappings, attacks on communities, and school abductions in several states, prompting renewed calls for stronger security responses.
