2027: PRESIDENCY MOCKS PETER OBI OVER KOINONIA VISIT, CALLS HIM ‘CONTENT CREATOR’
President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has criticised Peter Obi following the presidential candidate’s recent visit to Koinonia Global, describing him as a “content creator.”
Obi, who is the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), visited the Christian ministry founded by Pastor Joshua Selman on Sunday.
During the visit, Obi spoke about Nigeria’s political challenges and argued that politicians remain a major part of the country’s problems.
He also called on Christians to pray for Nigerian politicians, particularly for an end to the alleged diversion and misuse of public funds.
Obi further maintained that the challenges confronting Nigeria are largely rooted in poor leadership, stressing the need for responsible and accountable governance.
His comments, however, drew a reaction from Bwala, who appeared to dismiss the former Anambra State governor’s remarks.
In a post on X, Bwala described Obi as someone who had been reduced to creating content, apparently questioning the political significance of his recent activities.
The exchange comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with opposition figures and the Tinubu administration increasingly trading criticisms over the state of the country and the quality of leadership.
Obi remains one of the prominent opposition figures positioning himself for the 2027 presidential contest, while the presidency has continued to defend the Tinubu administration’s record and respond to criticism from opposition politicians.
