The total number of accredited voters stood at over 121,000, reflecting a highly participatory exercise across the district.

In Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodimma also clinched the APC senatorial ticket for Imo West after a landslide victory over former Governor Rochas Okorocha, securing over 230,000 votes across the Orlu zone’s local government areas.

Former Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan emerged as the consensus APC candidate for Yobe North, with party leaders describing his selection as a unifying decision aimed at strengthening internal cohesion in the state chapter of the party.

In Abia State, Erondu Erondu won the APC senatorial primary for Abia South, defeating several contenders including Nyerere Anyim, Paul Ikonne, and Blessing Nwagba. He reportedly secured victories across all six local government areas in the district.
